I just read over the bill and I was hearing people mention how this would require women to show proof of their maiden name or a passport or military id. In the bill I'm seeing the passport and military id part but the first valid identification the bill recognizes is "A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States." And looking over that 2005 act there's nothing in the driver's licence/ Id card section mentioning maiden names or anything like that. Basically based on what I'm reading, the system of "being your license or Id card and your good to go" should be fine? Did I misread or is there information somewhere I'm not seeing. Sources are appreciated for any answers.
